This isn’t going to be a Lenten musings sort of post, not really.
I woke up this morning and at 5 past 7, I was out in the frosty air, taking photographs of the fantastic sky – it was all pink, with purple/grey clouds.
It was just so pretty that I had to get out with the camera. And the ground was all frosty (not that you can really see in this picture) and it just made me go “wow”.
“Wow” because of being reminded of the beauty of the world, and how there is beauty in everything if we look hard enough.
Yesterday we had a celebration because one of our Ghanaian Sisters was making her Life Vows. There will be official photos on the OHP website from both the Ghanaian Life Professions once we’ve received them from Ghana. As we couldn’t all be in Ghana, we organised to celebrate in our own way here in the UK. We were even able to have the Order’s flag flying as the sun was shining and the weather kind to us yesterday.
So, although it’s Lent and we’re remembering that we’re dust and that we shall return to dust, we’re still being quite cheerful and optimistic.

There is a quiet, reserved beauty in this photo, Faith. Thank you.
Even though there’s a main road not far beind that tree, the Priory feels a bit like it’s in an island of green and you can hardly hear any traffic. It was one of those moments where I had to get the camera to share the beauty of the early morning with the world. I seem to be going everywhere with my camera just now to try to capture the beauty of creation!
I like the new look!
Thank you. It’s not quite right – I need to adjust the header slightly – but it’s good. The header was designed for me for my LiveJournal account and I’ve been wanting to use it on here for ages, so I’m glad I found a layout that could be customised so I could use it.
